M22 Warrior LED Flashlight

6/22/2013

We recently had the opportunity from Battery Junction to review the M22 Warrior LED Flashlight which utilizes the latest in CREE XM-L2 LED technology.  It is very well made with thick stainless steel and our initial impression of the flashlight exceeded expectations.  It comes in a handy storage case complete with padding for safe-keeping during travel and storage.

Troy has been using the flashlight at work for the past month or so.  As a fire fighter for the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), it is important to ensure that gear used in the field stands up to the test.  A flashlight is an important piece of equipment for firefighters, used for late night traffic accidents, search and rescue missions, etc.  Recently he carried it with him during night ops for a forest fire nearby.  Having a reliable light during these situations is invaluable.

In addition to the initial satisfaction of the flashlight, it stood up to the test while out in the field.  I would highly recommend this flashlight to anyone who is looking for a good, quality light.

PROS:
  1. Brightness - This little flashlight packs a punch in the area of brightness.  The max setting of 950 lumens cuts through the darkness like a butter knife.
  2. Carrying Case - Easily stores all of the parts included with your flashlight
  3. Holster Case - Allows easy transport in the field.  Troy was able to attach it to his bandoleer (radio holster) which worked great!
  4. Water Proof - Just another great feature included in this durable flashlight (bonus for fire fighters).  For hunters, this is a nice thing to not have to worry about when the storms hit.  I try and get as much water proof gear as possible.
  5. Programmable - View this video demonstration on how to easily program the flashlight.
  6. Strobe Option - Just having the strobe option is a bonus, but what is nice is that brightness remains while in strobe mode.
  7. Color - The solid black color is a bonus for both tactical and hunting reasons.  No shiny parts sticking out like a sore thumb on this light.... until you turn it on!

CONS:
  1. Filters - It would be nice to have green or red filters included (for hunting purposes).
  2. Sharing - All your friends are going to want one.  As I mentioned before, I'm trying to figure out how to sneak this flashlight into MY pack this year for hunting season.  I'm afraid my husband is not going to give it up.  It's a good thing I'm married to him and he will lead me out of the woods.

At the time of this review, June 22, this flashlight is currently on sale at Battery Junction, but you may have to act fast in order to get in on the Summer Solstice Sale prices.

Fuse Camouflage Phone Case

I recently discovered the Fuse Plus You website, www.fuseplusyou.com that offers a wide variety of quality cell phone cases that not only fit my iPhone like a glove, they come in fabulous camouflage options.  Score!!

The Mossy Oak Rugged Orange iPhone Shell Case had my name written all over it.  Ever since it arrived in the mail it has been protecting my phone.  I've been using this case for about a month and LOVE IT!

I should confess that I am really hard on phones and cases (just ask my husband about the time his truck ran over my phone), thus the reason why it is so important for me to have a case on my phone that performs well, at ALL times.  Trust me when I tell you that I have put this case to the test.  It has been dropped multiple times, yet still looks great and most importantly, my phone has remained undamaged while wearing this slick cover.  It has done its job ... protecting a phone from it's worst enemy: Me.

One thing I really like about the case is how easy it is to remove, yet still stays in snugly in place.  I've often gotten so frustrated with other cases when I want to take it off, and have to practically break my phone in order to get it off.  Isn't that defeating the purpose?  Anyway, with this case there is no problem.  When I want it off, it comes off.  When I want it on, it stays on.  You may be wondering, "Why do you need to take it on and off so often?"  The simple answer .... I like to keep my drivers license or hunting license tugged safely behind my phone in the case.  It fits perfectly.

So.... If you are looking for a new phone case, check out Fuse Plus You.  There are plenty of options to choose from.  It could also make a great Father's Day gift.  Check it out and go shopping!
