ABOUT EMILY

My hunting journey began shortly after I got married.  That fall as opening season for deer was drawing near, my sweet husband asked if it was okay if he went hunting over the weekend.  I quickly responded with, "Sure!  As long as I can come with."  Ever since then, we have been enjoying our passion for the outdoors / hunting / fishing, and all that comes with that... together as a husband and wife team.

I enjoy sharing our stories of the times spent in the woods.  They can be quite interesting at times.  As a female hunter, I've learned a few lessons of how to keep up with the guys in camp.  This blog is my attempt to document all those good times, the lessons learned, and even to share the importance of scent free lip gloss.  Because when you are hunting, it is not about looking good and smelling pretty for those elk.  Instead you learn to not be seen or smelt at all.  But since there really is such a thing as scent free lip gloss... watch out Mr. Elk, Moose or Deer b/c I may just get close enough for a smooch!

Read my PSE article, "Allure of the Bow" which details how I caught the archery passion!
