Last weekend we had a hard time locating the mountain thunder throaters - aka Merriam's. However the beauty of the mountain grandeur didn't disappoint. As the first rays of light revealed the stage set before us I couldn't help but snapping a few shots. I thought I would share. Enjoy!
Next weekend - I'm hoping for a shot with a turkey in the foreground of the pic!
(Big Al doesn't count.)
Best of luck. I can't wait to go out there and hunt the Merriam's. Just so different from what I associate with turkey hunting in the south.
ReplyDeleteAnd awesome pictures
Good luck Emily! We are having a tuff season here so far. Birds do not want to talk! :(
ReplyDeleteGood luck, and some great pics.
ReplyDeleteOur turkey season is only a few weeks away, and I can't wait!
Beautiful scenery Emily. Good luck with the turkeys.
ReplyDeleteI only hope you know how lucky you are to have a place like that to hunt... right in your own backyard! Lots of pretty country out here in CA, I guess, but something about those Rockies...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! and good luck with the turkeys!
