I recently was made aware of the information here that contains some very interesting comparisons on the different broadheads out there. (Thanks goes to Jason at the New Mexico Sportsman for the link.) Anyway, I thought I would share. This guy put a lot of effort into comparing these broadheads / tips.
That was definitely an interesting comparison. I think more needs to be taken into consideration when you choose a broadhead, however. In my opinion, any modern broadhead(when it functions correctly) will be extremely effective on game. I think the shooter needs to logically think about the bow they are shooting, how many pounds they are pulling back, how much speed/energy they are getting out of their arrow, and what species they are primarily hunting. Adding all these things together can be difficult for new hunters, and they might have to play the game of experience before they find the right one.
